They look quite good for £65.
2 -12 VHF
21-69 UHF

Now as I know zero about what will work where..... is it possible that this
set may work abroad ? (Spain pref) Or are all TVs country specific?

TIA

TV's are generally region specific - in typical English style, we use System
I (which no-one else uses!) which specifies PAL colour, 6mhz sound carrier
spacing, 625 lines 50 hz. Most European countries use System B/G which is
practically identical, except they use a 5.5mhz sound carrier. What this
means is that you'll get a picture, but no sound :(

Oh, the Europeans still use VHF as well as UHF for their TV system, we only
use UHF nowadays.

sorry for being O/T
Thanks for the info. as the sound or lack of it isn't a problem. Is it
likely that I could actually "watch" Spanish TV ? (specifically TVE 1 and
TVE2)
TIA

Yep, you'll be able to watch it no problem, just without any sound. Assuming
it does have a VHF/UHF tuner you'll have a greater choice of channels too.
